WHAT WE DO
Connect
The Institute brings together economic actors from communities, governments, and markets to develop, refine, and expand place-based approaches. Through structured learning exchanges, virtual resource sharing, and in-person convenings, places across Canada will gain the knowledge they need to shape their own economic futures.

"Shorefast’s Community Economies Pilot was a ground-up approach to learning how community economies are organized, the challenges they share, and the common ways of collectively creating action to overcome barriers and rise to meet opportunities.”
- Emilie de Rosenroll, Founding CEO of South Island Prosperity Partnership
Shorenet
We are building ShoreNet, a dynamic, decentralized network connecting individuals and organizations from across Canada to advance place-based economic development.

These events are run by the team at the Shorefast Institute and can be customized to meet the needs of your organization. The Fogo Sessions are held at the Fogo Island Inn in November and March, when the Inn is closed to regular guest stays. Please reach out for more information.
